5-YEAR-OLD ANYA WITH SEVERE MENTAL RETARDATION NEEDS EXPENSIVE MEDICAL TREATMENT!
Anya Doroshenko was born a healthy child. By the age of 1, she developed according to her age, on a par with her peers. However, later the girl began to lag behind in development: she stopped talking, lost the ability to maintain eye contact, became withdrawn, and constantly cried. The family focused all their efforts on finding the cause of this condition. Doctors gave Anya a disappointing diagnosis — severe mental retardation.
Now the 5-year-old girl regularly attends rehabilitation classes to gradually acquire new skills and abilities. Anya is learning self-care, understanding spoken language, etc. Unfortunately, her development currently corresponds to the level of a 2-year-old child. Despite the difficult diagnosis, Anya is an active, fussy girl. She really likes to run, jump, and play with her older sister.
In order for the girl to learn new knowledge better, she was prescribed drug therapy. The cost of treatment is unaffordable for Doroshenko's family — 5 days of medication costs about UAH 1,000. And Anya needs to take these medicines long-term. Therefore, the family is asking for support from everyone who cares. Please help get the baby back on its feet!
